Sweats and Spinners (Atlanta, GA) - Founded by Matt Knight (also known as "Sweats"). There was once a “Brick Spinners”, a long long time ago, but now he lives an hour away and decided "We should just be friends and not not make music together anymore" because he was all into making "real music" whatever that means, so Sweats and Spinners lived on as a solo project. In April of 2020 they released their debut Album “Doin’ it With Myself” to mediocric success. Boasting hundreds of spotify plays and dollars of earnings. This success led to a full COVID-19 Lockdown tour titled “Doin it With Myself Again” where the band toured almost all available venues around their tour dates.
After the success of album one - something crazy happened. This seemingly not real band started to add several noticeably different members. See them pictured to the right. The group continued touring and released several new music videos, most for songs from the first album, and then the group released their next musical project, a three song EP, titled “I Wish You Love” it is said that Matt wrote these songs about a former girlfriend who he claims to “really wish well, despite how she was portrayed in the music.” Knightmare a real rockstar type added his signature sound to the biggest track from the EP “Kill You First”, and another Member, Adam Hauk, lends his vocals to the track “Pretty”.
The band also dropped a single titled “27 Hoes” to the FUMP (The Funny Music Project, a website for funny music) in September of 2020 and simultaneously dropped a music video for this hit. This track featured the wonderful vocals of Kate Hart of @KateHartMusic but the music video featured some unknown woman in her place as she was not available at the time of shooting. Matt says this release was meant to be a small taste of the upcoming album.
With one album, one EP, and one single released so far, the band came to a realization that they were capable of so much more. They started to remake themselves which unfortunately meant taking music down and re-branding. They signed a Contract with “Nice” network and began working on a show called Sweat House which is to begin airing on tik tok and IGTV in September 2021. They also re-released the first album as just the hits in an EP titled “Doin’ It With Myself” the same as the album. The second EP “I Wish You Love” was also re-released on October 20, 2021.
